Bean's Nursery

So we have been hard at work putting the house back together after refinishing the floors. Even though it was a difficult 2 weeks to be displaced from our house, it was totally worth it! The floors are beautiful-- and thanks to our family and friends, the displacement wasn't too bad!!

So, Scott put together all the baby furniture today and the nursery is looking soooooo cute!

We also put some precious wall decals on the walls!!!

And I was also sooooo excited to put out Grandma Patsy's sock monkey and elephant!!

And even though we are still going to paint this book case, I couldn't resist putting his books out (which we obviously don't need any more of!! ;). One of Scott's co-workers was so sweet to give us a bunch of books and I picked up several good ones at Half Price books! Also, on top is my Raggedy Anne and Andy and a table runner Grandma Patsy gave us as a wedding gift. I believe the crocheted lace on the runner was made by Scott's Great Grandmother! What a special addition to the nursery.

So here it is in the making. We still have things to get, but all the furniture is put together (thank you Daddy and Grammy!) We are so excited to finish putting it together (wait until you see the curtains!!) and meet Bean in August!!

Floors Refinished!!!

Well, I can't believe it took us this long to have this done. Scott had thought of doing it himself, but I think we will be very glad that we have let the professionals handle it-- although it is very unlike my husband to do that.

They have only done the first sanding but they look AMAZING!! In this photo you can also see the baby's new paint job in HIS room! We found out it is a boy last week and couldn't be more excited!! I can't wait to get started on his nursery. I have already picked out material for curtains and bought some precious bedding. His mobile is in the works as well. Oh, but we were talking about floors. Check them out!!!
